Flint, MI - Les Mason was awarded M.O.T.A.'s prestigious Sportsman of the Year Award at the 50th Annual M.O.T.A. Awards Banquet. Les, a member of the East Side Competition Riders club, has been not only been a great sportsman, but also contributes to M.O.T.A. by attending and participating in multiple committees including the Association, Executive and Rules Committees.
He has served as M.O.T.A's Competition Director and Recording Secretary and is also responsible for creating and publishing our yearly handbook. Les is a perfect choice for the M.O.T.A.'s 50th Anniversary Sportsperson award that is made in recognition of an individual rider or nonrider who has made a significant and enthusiastic contribution to the M.O.T.A. and who embodies a sense of fair play, courtesy, and a competitive spirit that is tempered by grace in both winning and losing.
